The following is an unedited, stream-of-consciousness personal journal used to experiment with different subjects outside of assignments and to practice free-writing. It shouldn't (at all) be viewed as a portfolio of polished work.

How to Make it Happen: A Visual Guide for Living Intentionally

How far are you willing to go for what you love?

Do you want something badly enough that you're willing to risk the unknown, traveling by obscure means, even alone at times? Can the drive within ward off the feelings of fear, loneliness, frustration that will certainly arise as you pursue your end goal?

What you love is greater than yourself. If you don't feel that, you haven't chosen the right path- or you aren't looking deep enough. If you aren't willing to risk all to gain all, you may falter at the pass, turning back when things get rough. It's your drive that keeps you going when the smooth, scenic path turns into a boulder field where no trail has been forged. In those cases, the person who loves persists with little to no loss of optimism.
Are these qualities you can develop? Without a doubt. But it takes a little introspection, which is sometimes frightening enough.

Be brave. Be bold. Look in that heart of yours and determine what makes it tick. Find the passion that will carry you when you've reached remote corners of your world and need that extra ounce of determination to carry through. The payoff is, without a doubt, worth it.

Addendum: A few weeks ago I decided to start a series of 90 day fitness challenges to compete in something I am truly passionate about: outdoor adventure. In 2014, I am headed to Patagonia to compete in a 10 day extreme race. I've decided to make ViSalus and their 90 day program part of my training. Join me in your own 90 day challenge.
